Diwali & Chhath train seat radar

Direct trains sold out? See where you still get a seat by changing trains.

Questions

What is the Diwali and Chhath train seat radar?
A live board of 1,444 busy festival train routes, from work cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Surat and Bengaluru to Bihar, UP and Jharkhand, and back. For every day from 28 October to 30 November 2026 it shows if a direct train has a seat, and if not, how to get there by changing trains.
All direct trains are sold out. How can I still travel?
First, the same train on a different ticket: board from where the train starts, ride to its last stop, or buy two tickets on the same train and move seat once on the way. If not, one change of train at a big junction such as Kanpur, Prayagraj or DDU, with a wait under 4 hours. The radar only shows ways where every ticket was checked live and has a confirmed or RAC seat.
What does sold out mean here?
No direct train has a confirmed (AVL) or RAC berth in Sleeper, 3AC Economy or 3AC. Only waitlist or Regret is left.
How fresh is the seat data?
Our servers re-check every route all day. A way is shown only after every ticket in it was checked live, and each day says when that was. Seats change by the hour, so tap Re-check before you book.
Is it free, and is it IRCTC?
It is free. RailRoute is independent and not part of IRCTC or Indian Railways; you book on IRCTC or an authorised seller.
