Train and flight journeys on RailRoute
A flight is treated as a leg of the same journey, not as a separate product. RailRoute can show trips that mix trains and flights and compare them with direct trains on total door-to-door time, including the road between a station and an airport. You book each part yourself.

RailRoute is an independent service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Indian Railways, IRCTC, or any Government of India entity. Train names and station codes are used for identification only.
RailRoute does not sell tickets and never takes a payment. Fares are estimates and seat availability changes continuously; the exact fare and the actual booking are confirmed on IRCTC.
What is counted
- Scheduled train and flight times.
- Time on the road between stations, airports and city terminals — typical driving time, not live traffic.
- Time to check in for a domestic flight, and time to leave the airport after landing.
- Time to reach a platform and board a train.
Fares and bookings
- A rail fare is an estimate. Confirm it at IRCTC checkout.
- An air fare is the lowest observed for that date, not a quote.
- RailRoute does not book either leg. A mixed trip is two (or more) separate tickets.
Limitations
- Domestic Indian flights only.
- Nothing predicts a delay on either mode.
- A missed connection is your risk: the tickets are separate.
